The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority was established in 2011 with support from UK aid but by 2015 was facing severe political opposition. In 2015, Policy Development Facility Phase II supported the engagement of a communications adviser to help increase awareness, understanding and support for the Authority’s strategy, programmes and interventions. This story of change describes how the adviser helped the authority become more proactive in its communications strategy and be seen as a tool for fiscal discipline and a trusted development partner for implementing and facilitating projects.
