The Office of the Auditor General of the Federation is the supreme audit institution and the foremost statutory accountability office of Nigeria, and is solely responsible for the audit of the Federation’s public accounts. As such, it has a key role in efforts to tackle corruption and establish transparency and accountability in public financial management. This story of change explains how support from the UK government, through Policy Development Facility Phase II, has helped the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation improve its performance in key areas, including audit, quality assurance and training, and launch a five-year strategic development plan for 2017– 2022.
